When you register as an organizer, we collect your email address, your name, and an encrypted password. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).

To join a game, only a freely chosen display name is stored - no account or email address is required. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Every time our website is accessed, our hosting provider automatically collects technical data (IP address, date/time, page requested, browser type) in server log files. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating and securing our service).

We store technically necessary data in your browser's local storage: your login token, your guest access to a game, and your language and theme preference. This data never leaves your device except to authenticate against our own API. With your consent, we additionally use local storage for anonymous web analytics - see "Web analytics" below.

With your consent (cookie banner), we collect anonymous usage statistics through our own, self-hosted solution - no data shared with third parties, no advertising, no cross-site tracking. We collect: a random identifier not linked to your account (stored in your local storage), pages visited, referrer, language setting, device type, and how far you scroll on a page. We do not store your IP address for this purpose. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25 TTDSG). You can withdraw your consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer; already-collected anonymous data can no longer be linked to you afterwards.

If you, as an organizer, use the "Generate tasks with AI" feature, the name of the bride or groom and any optional insider info you enter is transmitted to Anthropic PBC (San Francisco, USA) for processing in order to generate task suggestions. The legal basis is your consent through active use of the feature (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). No data belonging to guest players is transmitted to Anthropic.

We use the payment provider Stripe to process purchases of optional premium features. When you buy, you're redirected to a payment page hosted by Stripe - your payment details (e.g. card data) are processed there exclusively and never pass through our own servers. We only store the payment status, the amount, and transaction identifiers assigned by Stripe. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract). We only store personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes stated above, or as required by statutory retention periods. You can have your organizer account and all associated games deleted at any time - just send us an email.

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection (Art. 15-21 GDPR). Please contact the email address stated above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

We will update this privacy policy whenever new features that affect the processing of personal data go live. The version published on this page is always the current one.
